i blame that partially on society itself.the idea that if your not a size 4,or look like you survived a concentration camp, you wont be successful or find a man,or a have anything of value, all based on looks, all media is guilty of this and young, naive girls see this and that's where they get the idea, some parents are also to blame,I'm sure there have been plenty of parents that have a negative influence when it comes to that, like,'OH DONT EAT THAT,NO MAN WILL LOVE YOU',that type of mentality.

Too many times girls look at the ones around them, whether it's on tv or one of their peers. Some girls feel the need to be skinny to get attention, mostly from guys. Others have this feeling inside that they're not attractive enough, probably because other girls are skinny. Basically it's what a girl sees and feels, which is an obvious. Many times when girls are sensitive and someone jokes saying they're fat triggers them to become skinny.

It's NOT attractive at all. Paris is way too skinny, as an example. Think of how beautiful she would be if she added 20 pounds to her frame. I blame the media. Look at the old pics of Raquel Welch or 1960's era Sophia Loren. Or even any of the models from that time except for Twiggy. They all had curves and looked wonderful.

In my opinion, the majority of the people are insecure. There are a few who just have a personal preference towards being extremely thin but many are always thinking that they will never be good enough and to them that's the way to be accepted. Personally, I don't like bumping into bones.

They look like bones with skin pulled over it. The girls are brainwashed. Everywhere you turn you are told how beautiful skinny is.The only thing advertisers know is 90 lbs. or less. Of course men are to blame also. Even if you are normal weight for your height, both boys and grown men make you feel fat by their looks and comments.

i think is the parents for letting this happen is kinda Obie's that these girls have stop eating and just don't care instead of telling them to do something healthy for them like exercise going to a gym to a nutritionist to be at a normal weight and not look like skin and bones. i use to be skinny but i did not like the way i look i use to weigh 90 lb in freshmen year of high school but my parents help me to go to a gym and a nutritionist to get on my normal wight which is 120 and now i look way better than before and love it. this is what parents should do just like mine. of coarse i was not anorexic i just could not gain weight.

because that is what they see in magazines, all the models that you see on tv are very skinny and they are the people that young girls look up to.I think most of them could do with a good feed.

Because the movies, magazines and tv shows brainwash people into thinking it. The people who know how to think for themselves know that thin doesn't equate beauty.

some women are just naturally skinny....period...what can u say ..they have a high metabolism....and it is hard gaining weight....
and often times those who are naturally skinny are often mixed up with the ones who starve themselves......now thats what i hate....dont hate those who were naturally born a size 2...i mean damn ..it would be really boring if we were all the same size...
