ab = a+b
a(b-1) = b
a = b/(b-1).

So any number of the form n/(n-1), where n is an integer.
n = 2 and n = 3 gives you the two you wrote; n = 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 give you 5 more.

2 is the ONLY number that gets the same result when added or multiplied to itself, so I dont understand which set of numbers you mean on the examples, can you elaborate? And I think equations on the example do not equate.. try using parenthesis to avoid confusion (3+1)/(1/2)=8? or ((3+1)/1)/2=2? or (3*1)/(1/2)=6? or ((3*1)/1)/2=1.5? This really depends on what you mean, wherein (4/4)/2 is totally different from 4/(4/2).
