I remember watching him extend the evening news to cover the hostage crisis. That grew into the nightly show he hosted for 25 years. I assume you refer to the current report. It was pretty good. One theme that runs through American news reports is a lack of unbiased, prism free journalism. Your media knowingly dismisses the extremes of issues so you get this vague middle of the road view.
If you want to see better reports try the BBC or CBC. There have been ongoing in depth documentary style reports for decades from these excellent sources. Ted tried but didn't quite live up to the Canadian and British standards. PBS is better than ABC. Fox is a sad joke.

From what he reported, I almost felt sorry for them in some ways. Their president and ours share a few traits, being clueless is one. Just like in our country it's generally not the people who want a war, it's the rulers and military people. From what he was allowed to show us I was pleasantly surprised by some of the ordinary people. If Iran had a charismatic, more tolerant president, they could go a long way in stabilizing the middle-east.

Well done. Iran is not a threat to the American people. Of course, they have been dubbed part of the axis of evil so we can find another dragon to try and slay.
You will note the number of American warships surrounding Iran. I don't see Iranian warships off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and in the Gulf of Mexico!

I don't trust Ted Koppel.
If I want the truth about anything, I watch Fox News.
(They give both sides.)
