The HCF of 48 and 66 is 6
Hence divide both numerator and denominator by 6 to get the simplest form
48/66
=8/11

8/11
what number can be divided into both
48/6 = 8
66/6 = 11
you just keep reducing
48/66 divide both by 2 to get 24/33 and than find a number that goes into both and 3 so 3/24 is 8 and 3/33 is 11 so that is 8/11 and nothing goes into 8 and 11 so it is the smallest number

Factor the top and the bottom and get rid of any
common factors:
48 = 2*2*2*2*3
66 = 2*3*11
We can see that the largest common factor is 6.
So, dividing top and bottom by 6 gives 8/11 as
the final answer.

anticipate an wrong fraction of 13/4. In math, it somewhat is yet in any different case of expressing a branch wherein the denominator would not bypass into the numerator a excellent style of circumstances. Above is one way of showing the expression. yet in any different case is with the aid of particularly doing the branch (13/4). the respond could be 3 (3 x 4 = 12) however the end result leaves a the remainder of one million. What to do with it? Write it as a fraction, so the finished branch could be 3 one million/4. least complicated style: if the wrong fraction substitute into (say 40 4/12) the mixed quantity could be 3 (40 4/12 = 3) with a the remainder of 8 that's shown as 3 and eight/12. the least complicated style could be 3 2/3. wish this helps.

divide the top and bottom by the same number, until there is no more numbers that can be divided into both of them, so divide by 6 to get 8 over 11

48/66

Let us take out the flab out of each and reduce each of them to half their size.Both are even numbers(i.e.divisible by 2)

The more compact form comes to 24/33

There is still some scope for further loss of weight.Both could be reduced to one third of their size(divided by 3)

The more compact form appears as 8/11d

We find that there is no scope for further reduction.

8/11 is the simples form.

Find a number that divides into both, then repeat until you can't find one. 2, 3 or 6 go into both, so divide both numbers by one of them, then see if there are any other numbers that work.
