I agree with you.
There IS a double standard.
I feel sorry for the white male, because it is discriminated. Just watch TV. In all t.v. ads, when there needs to be a stupid person, it is always a white male.

Black Entertainment Channel has Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Jazz.
White Entertainment Channel. Rock and Roll, Heavy Metal videos. LOL!
Dude, It wouldn't offend me at all if they had a WET, White History month.
I don't know, right now, I think it is a Double Standard and most Blacks would be offended seeing this because they suffered a lot from the past, and when something like this shows up, they'll get mad and pull the race card out.

Boo Hoo! White males have controlled just about every facet of society (even to the point of telling women what we can and cannot do with our own bodies) so now that life is working toward a more equitable balance people complain about bigotry or double standards
Read a local newspapers description of the perpetrator of a crime. Color/race is only mentioned if he/she is not white. You will hardly ever read a person described as white because the assumption is "understood."
Here we are in the 21st century and the number of African-Americans who have won a major Academy Award can still be counted using only two hands. Excellence should be rewarded on a grand scale so it will serve as an example of what ANYONE AND EVERYONE should aspire to...but mostly it has been for the benefit of white males. In the past.

There is only one race and it is the HUMAN RACE. Aren't we all sick and tired of people putting others in a box and judging them different? Organized Religion and its priesthoods try and focus on everything except what the founders of each Religion wanted. Do any of us really think Jesus would be proud of us? We have a pope who hides perversion and Religious leaders preaching hate and war. "They" are trying to divide us with labels like white asian black latin when we are all people.
Is there a double standard? Yes there is and it is there to keep us divided. It keeps the blacks weak thinking the world owes them something.Like hanging around months after Katrina wanting to know where the next handout was.
Sad

what is it that you think you and your parents and your grandparents watched for 50 years the only black faces that you saw were slaves, and step and fetch it types. Black people found it entirely necessary to get preresentation on their own... Hollywood is still very white for instance how many black actresses can you name how many actors... now compare that list with the percentage of the population as a whole.... before you go twisting off on some racist rant think a bit about what it is like to be a minority in this country. Name three chinese actresses off the top of your head yet how many millions of chinese people live in this country and were born here. come on... get a grip... don't let a bunch of racsit alarmist twist you into believing that minority entertainment is not necessary and well deserved. Now if they just had a channel for left handed people I would be all set.

you have already got those products. the clarification that minorities would desire to create their very own television stations and awards exhibits is via the fact the at the instant are not many times acknowledged with the aid of what you call significant flow. The above suggested colleges, awards, etc represents whites besides. in case you appeared into them you may discover that white women and white men alike are characterize there.

Well, it doesn't bother me at all.
I know, if such a thing was done, some might fear some kind of White Supremacy action, but I am familiar with white culture and social contributions.
What about the blacks and the hispanics and the asians?
They are Americans, but they have their history as well.

I do think it's a double standard, if an y of those things existed for any other race everybody would scream racist. Is there Asian history month or the Asian entertainment channel. No, so why can one portion of the population have it and not the rest.

How about the African American College Fund...I definitely couldn't apply for that...But if there was a Caucasian American College Fund, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be on that so fast your head would never quit spinning
