some of you acturrly read the question...how about this one if a train is a mile long and going thru a mile tunnel at 60 mph how long would it take for the train to go thru the tunnel

the answer to the train question is two minutes...it takes the engine one minute to get completely thru the tunnel...and another minute for the caboose..as for the other question its three because half of two is one plus two is three...guess there isnt that many smart ones for the train question cause most ppl for got about the caboose...good luck on the next one i get and it wouldnt be that long from now

2 or 3. half of ( 2+2 ) = 2. Half of 2 ( + 2 ) = 3.
2 minutes for the train to clear the tunnel. The train enters one side of the tunnel. That's when the time starts. It takes one minute for the train to reach the other end of the tunnel, and one minute for the train to completely exit that same end.

Depends entirely on whether or not you intended for there to be parentheses in that statement. Going purely by order of operations, the answer has to be 3. 1/2 * 2 + 2 (multiply before you add).
Regarding your train question - do you mean how long would it take the entire train to clear the tunnel?

half of 2+2 is 2. the train would take 1 min. to pass through the tunnel because it is traveling at 60mph.1 divide by 60 is 60 and 60 seconds are in aminute.
It's hard to explain why it just takes that long.
