Kind of true, It is true that an A level in law would be beneficial for studying a law or law related degree and in turn make it easier, however it is a new trend for universities to now accept applicants who have a diverse and broader field of study and not one specific to a degree in whole. The point of this is to bring a range of skills from different subject areas, again to provide a more diverse range to the profession..ie different view points/perceptions etc.

It would be good to do law but combine it with somthing like history and/art.

Take the A Level - you may find you hate law and it's better to find out now.

What about your other subjects? They don't look at just 1 A level they look at all of them.

I doubt it would make the degree easier, you may have an advantage in the first few weeks because you will know certain terminology but after that you will now as little as the other under grads.

They see it as just another A level, because the jump from that to degree level law (and then on to Bar school of training cert) is so massive.

Worth getting, but the skills of analysis, evidence and so forth can be demonstrated through other subjects.
