well the thing is a didn't forget the password or anything, i just don't have it, and i can't really ask for it. is their like a program that would audit it or something till it figured out the UN and pass? it's just my house, not a business or anything, so nothing illegal or anything. thanks.

If it's your router: hard reset. Small hole on back of router, use a paperclip to hold down the reset button for about 5 seconds. when it starts back up, it will have the default admin username and password. For netgear i believe it's just 'admin' with password of 'admin'.

And if it's not your router, don't access it unless you have permission to do so.

You will need the owner's manual. Somewhere on the router there should be a little hole with reset written near it. Get something to poke in the hole and it will be reset back to how it cam from the factory. Then the owner's manual will tell you what the default username and password is. It is usually admin, and something like password or admin or something equally lame for the password.
