They don't like to show feelings so that they don't feel betrayed. Or it's just their character. But if you don't get hurt then what's the point, you'll never learn anything new, your life will be boring

I'm emotionally cold sometimes. I have my own problems. Stress, unhappiness, people...anything. Sometimes the emotions can be so overwelming that you can't do anything, but shut down. Or that individual can have a antisocial personality. These are the people who usually become killers.

Generally, a tramatic experience, has put an emotional shell around them. Nothing gets in and nothing gets out. some shells dissolve within a few days, others may last several years or even the rest of their lives.

I would not put that way. I think everyone has a beautiful side of them selfs. maybe the problem is that you don't know how to reach it.
Give people a chance and you will see. When you start judging you basicaly are lighting up the fire.
