It was the year that we actually had snow on Christmas Eve in Dallas, TX which is a rare treat, indeed! My mother and my two sisters sat around a huge fire and watched the snow fall as we sang Christmas carols together. My mother and one sister have since passed on and my remaining sister now lives in another state. But I think of that Christmas eve every year and am glad I have that memory when I think of those who are no longer here.

I was all excited about santa comming home past mid-night and when he finally arrived I was sooooo scared that I never came out from my blankets.I had myself locked in my room no matter what he had to say.I still wonder y I did that???
Next day my dad hid some of the gifts under my pillow,so the first thing I saw when I got up were the gifts.I was surprised coz I did nat behave myself to receive the gifts from santa and yet he gave it.Sort of puzzled!!!But happy.Over the years I learnt that Christmas is not all about Santa or christmas tree but to receive what He came to give ie; PEACE ON EARTH GOOD WILL TO MAN. And I try to share that with as many as possible. This is what I consider the richest gift...even the poor can afford it!!!!!

I was 6. I had not been a very good girl. Everytime I misbehaved, Mom would warn me that Santa was crossing another gift off my list. Christmas Eve, I went to bed and had a nightmare that all I got was a shoebox with a couple of weird yarn thingies in it. It was SO REAL that when I woke up, I didn't want to get out of bed. Mom coaxed me into the living room. To my surprise and relief, there were presents gallore! LOL...

I remember living in Oklahoma and my dad wanted to get a real tree! As in finding one and cutting it down himself! I dont know if u have ever been to Oklahoma but ummmm not alot of trees like that! He was gone a good 3 hrs and when he came home the tree he had was much more like a tumble weed! lol BUT we decorated still the same! PLUS an artificial one my mom went and got. But I had my own tree- the tumbleweed in my own room! It was pretty awesome

i was about 9 or 10 and we had one of those beautiful aluminum trees with the colored light wheel under that made it change colors...i got my first bike that year..it was a 26 inch blue one...i could not resist the urge to sit on it just to get the feel of it ...well i promptly fell over with the bike and we both landed on the shiny tree..my pride was bruised.. bike was ok but the tree was a bit crooked after that..it was a wonderful christmas..

Christmas 1990 at the age of 5. Santa Claus came to visit our house.
Hahahaha! Of course he came while I was asleep.
But then he came again Christmas Day like Brunchtime. He came in and I sat in his lap and he had Brunch with us. It was so magical for me at that age. (it was really Uncle Sid dressed up)
