All the facets in my home have very hot water, besides my shower. The bottom comes out real hot but when the shower is on I get luke warm at best, any reason why?

Water heater less than 4 month old.

The hot water to the shower is obstructed or the balancing valve cartridge is not functioning properly. If you have a separate valve to the shower hot water, exercise it. Most likely you have a failing cartridge. If any children or seniors access the hot water, you should turn it down.

Depending on the faucet make, if you take off the shower handle and look behind, most newer faucets have an adjustment for the hot water, to prevent too much hot water out, by taking that adjustment and moving it in one direction or another, it should change the range of the hot water.

I wonder if you have a Delta-type faucet that has the hot and cold controls in one unit. If a washer in the cold water line was bad, it could be that you're getting a mix of hot and cold rather than how you like it. I know that the washers in those mixing-type fixtures do go bad.
