3 working days as far as I know....same with most banks n building societies

They used to tell me 7 to 10 working days. It seems they mean.... 10 days counting the next working day as day one, discounting Saturday and Sunday as non working days, then the 10th day, the cheque would be clear at midnight so you could withdraw it from the bank on the eleventh working day, assuming it was a week day, if not, the Monday thereafter.

I said they "used" to tell me, because they were useless beyond help in this and many other areas and I now use a real building society that has not sold out and become a Bank.

10 days as it is a building society and not a bank 3 days with a bank
