The Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons does not provide this service, to my knowledge.

If not the college of phys who then? I thought the governing body of licensing would.
If there is a book on Chartered Accountants there must be one Doctors in Ontario. The is a body which reviews complaints, investigates and sure checks credentials. To my knowledged its the ont college of phys as you have mentioned. Start from them, do a google search. Access may not be as easy but it exists.
