A lot of women ask this question. In my opinion...the only true way to tell what you are having is to wait until birth...or possibly a REALLY CLEAR image on an ultrasound. However...Generally, baby girls do have a stronger heartbeat than baby boys. In my case, my baby's heartrate has been anywhere from 140-170 between the first ob visit and now... Most commonly though, it is around 150. (by the way, we are having a girl...confirmed by regular and 4D Ultrasound.) With my other kids, it was pretty right on with the wives tale too....but i wouldn't go off and but anything pink or blue just yet...For the first 4 months, we were sure this one was a boy....but we were wrong!
Have you tried the chinese gender chart? Another myth I'm sure...but it has been correct with all of mine! Google it.
Good luck and congrats!

When i was pregnant with my son it was a really fast heart rate so i don't think the old wives tale is accurate at all. We thought i was having a girl because of that and out popped a little boy.

Well that is just an old wives tale like you said, my friend's baby had a bhr of 165-170 and it was a boy, I am having a boy and the bhr has been between 145-150. Hope for a healthy baby, not the sex.

All my girls (2) had fast heart beats in the 160's and my boys (3) were slower in the 140's.
Good luck!!

my baby's heart beat has been in the middle 150-155 this whole pregnancy I am due tomorrow and i don't know what I am having and the reason I answered your question was to tell you that sometime they can't tell what the sex is I had 3 ultrasound from 18 weeks -24weeks and they couldn't tell. and honestly I am glad I never found out the surprise is better. I wish you luck and take care.

The first US, my daughter's was 160 (that was the 12 week one, too early to determine sex). At my next one, it was 140 and we found out she was a little girl. The heart rate goes down as they get older.

My daughter's heartrate was 165-179 and she was a girl.
This baby is messuring 131-150 so I am hoping it's a boy.
They say 150 and under a boy
151 or higher it's a girl

I don't remember what the rates were on my one son or two daughters but they were all about the same. No distinguishing whether it was a boy or girl.

both my kids were around 150. This means nothing as I have a girl and a boy.
