Keep practicing. The more you do it, the easier it will get. Your fingers have to get used to making those shapes. I couldn't play the G chord for a very long time, but with more practice I am now quite a good guitar player. Just practice on a regular basis and you'll get there.

Learning to play guitar is one of the best things you can ever do. You can play around the first and chicks really dig guys who can play the guitar.
You can start by taking lessons from an accomplished guitar player, but if you want to give it a shot without the commitment of meeting weekly with the teacher, you can try a course like this, which I've heard some really good things about...

usually in life, if you have an interest in doing something it equals talent, so i dont think you can say "you're not cut out for it"
it takes practice and I'd suggest changing chords slowly at first until you get it down.
i also suggest taking a few lessons with a qualified instructor so you at least know you're off to a good start.

Well I am learning guitar too. The thing that helps me is moving my fingers to different positions. Like put one finger on one cord then hit it with ur pick then move ur finger to another spot and do the same thing. Do that for a while. It helps me.

that is normal
you should start out learning finger exercises to get used to stretching out for chords and then working into chords.

just keep practicing. some ppl get it right away and with others it takes time. it took awhile for me to learn since i have short chubby fingers to work with but i did it. basically when i started, i was told that i had to exercise my fret fingers and let them stretch out and get used to it. it hurt but you get used to it.
