A million, wisely invested, would allow a person to enjoy a life of leasure for the remainder of ones life. So there you are. It would be wisely invested.

It depends on how I came by the $$$. But assuming it was all legal and no gambling was involved, I would first pay a 10% tithe on it to my church. Next I would set up trust funds for my children, put enough away to augment our retirement so that we would be able to have a comfortable life (which would most probably involve investments) and then travel to some of the places left in the world we have not yet seen but always wanted to see and learn aboutl.

A million isn't what it used to be.
I'll buy a craftsman style home and spend a lot of time decorating it.
I'll save some, invest some and use some to take a vacation in Tuscany.

If I made the million, I would invest it, otherwise, I'd probably spend it all in a month, but make a lot of people happy.

first you'd have to pay taxes on that. Anyway, one million dollars would last me my lifetime so if I received it in one lump I'd be frugal and I'd invest it intelligently.
