what is your opinion on "beauty" pageants. why. give me a really good persuasive answer not some dumb " i think all pageant girls are fake" kinda answer. be poliet please.

ok im guessing no one read the whole question! all are so mean. i get scholorships for my pageants. im not fake. no one likes a fake girl. get over your selves!

I dont mind if people are in pageants as long as girls realize that some of those people arnt good role models

Well, I think pageants are cool. I was in a 'scholarship' pageant once. (it was for $50,000 and if we won then we could compete for $100,000) I met alot of cool people there...of course the girl that won was an evil two faced girl...but hey i ended up learning how to carry myself more confidently, and i learned alot of beauty tips. Also, I think they are good because they teach girls the importance of community service and speaking eloquently. I personally gained alot of confidence. I had to ask people to sponsor me and surprisingly many did.
And not everyone in pageants are fake and ditzy. Sure some of them are but I was in the pageant and I am in no way stupid. All A's except one class in college.

I am a pageant queen and all I have to say is... wrong, all those responses are wrong. Pageants have thaught me so much, poise, good speaking abilities, and lots lots more. And the saying that pageant girls are fake is so wrong, my best friends are in pageants, I have never met a person who is fake. Pageant girls are filled with wonderful qualities.

I don't really think beauty pageants are a good thing. Letting someone when a crown moslty based on outer beauty. That's just being cruel and judgemental.
It brings way to much stress on a girl, and it sends out a wrong message to girls out their.
If you enter a pageant all the girls will be jealous of one another, and they will try to sabatoge you whenever they can. (Trust me, I was once in a beauty pageant, I know these things.) It's too much stress.
I won the pageant, but I now realize how stupid I was for even going through with it in the first place.

I personally think most pageants ask pretty shallow questions, but many pageant entrants, especially winners, have become very successful at biz, arts, politics etc.
If you can get a scholarship by "doing" a pageant, go for it.
There are stupid and smart people in most public events arent' there?

Well, I'm a pageant queen, and I really like pageants because they give you scholarships. And it's fun being crowned as the winner and all.
But, girls are vicious!! Don't trust anyone! I mean, you may think they have your back, but they're totally two faced.

I like them, I have always wanted to participate in one but I can't ever find one. I enjoy watching them on TV. They help you out in life with scholarships money and opprituities. Plus getting that crown must feel awesome. It probably boosts your confidants too!! Not all girls are fake, they are pretty and intelligent, see people get one impression and they stick with it. Some girls are probably fake but most of them aren't. people are jealous because they aren't pretty enough to do one!! Hope it helps and good luck if you enter one!!! = ]

I love beauty pageants...but I hate when the girls get overly competitive and kill themselves with eating disorders.

I think if you have the courage to go out in front of a bunch of people and have the confidence knowing you may win than that is a true beautiful girl and good for her! I think they are wonderful and help with a woman's self-esteem..

i think they help you a lot.they help you gain so much confidence and you meet really great people as well as learning,real fashion,skin ttreatment,makeup tips,hair tips.people think they are so fake and stuck up but they''re not pageant girls are really fun to be with and they are so fun.its a great experience.there are different steps to pageants.some times you have to create and recite speaches and a bunch of stuff .i have been ina few.best experience of my life
