I have a fairly deep fantasy team and Im thinking the time is right to start wheeling and dealing a few of my players in order to boost a weaker position on my team.

Ok, I have Brees and Romo.

Im thinking about keeping Brees and trading Romo for Alge Crumpler. I'll still have a awesome QB but the TE position is where Im really lackiing. My current TE is Shockey and he hasnt produced much in the last month...

Advice?

Obviously some of the other people answering your question don't have Brees.
I'm a fellow Brees owner and he's basically the reason I'm 9-2 this season and a lock for the No. 1 seed.
Who has Romo picked apart? The Bucs... Yup, that's about it. The people who are on the Romo bandwagon need to chill out.

As for trading for a TE... Unless you can get Colston, who in some leagues is still considered a TE, Winslow Jr. or maybe Todd Heap then don't make a deal.

Those are the top 3 TE's.

Also, since Romo is so hot right now, add another mediocre player in the mix. Say like a DeAngelo Williams or someone. Just a fantasy teams 3rd back that is still producing or a flex receiver that will get you points vs. soft defenses.

Crumpler has one major flaw... VICK!!!
He may be Vick's main target but Vick isn't good when he's being asked to lead his team.

Best Choice DONT make the Trade

Because Crumpler is not a better TE than Shockey ... They are the same ... if you are really trying to strengthen your team trade Romo for a Lee on Buffalo ... he has a soft schedule around the playoffs and should put up some good number ... or Pick up Willis McGahee ... he will be a stud in at the right time ... play offs...

Good Luck

Stay the course.

Tight end is a position that's never going to light the world on fire. Crumpler has been hit or miss. You're at the mercy of Michael Vick, versus being at the mercy of Eli Manning by keeping Shockey. With that choice, I'd choose Manning and take what I can get.

Romo. Five touchdowns yesterday! For Crumpler? Not a chance!

The only TE worth picking up is Colston, if he's designated as a TE in your league. I know he's injured now, but if he gets healthy, he'll be a huge advantage at the TE position.

Otherwise, just keep Brees and Romo... you never know if one of them will get injured. (Just look at some of the McNabb owners.) I think Romo has an easier schedule during the fantasy playoffs too.

Also, if you make such a trade, you should be sure that you make the trade with a team that is not going to make the fantasy playoffs. Or else the trade might come back to bite you in the butt.

Keep Brees. I agree with you on trading Romo for Crumpler. Brees puts up better fantasy numbers than Romo. Shockey has been in a slump, and Crumpler has been a TD machine this season in the Redzone. I agree with keeping Drew Brees.

Woh! Romo is amazing this year! He just had a 300+yard, 5 td game! Trade Brees, your gonna need romo. Shockey isn't doing anything wrong, Manning is! Manning isn't playing like a manning. TE also aren't worth anything compared to QBs

Good luck in the FNTSY FTBL

I would trade Romo but try to get more than Crumpler. Look to the Mcnabb owner who is desperate. I am a huge cowboys fan living in Dallas and I love Romo but don't expect 5 tds again this season, he will continue to play well but not as well as Brees. Trade him while he's hot!!

you will possibly take Nicks or Smith over DJax, Moss or Williams? you're surely affected by an acute tension of "homer"-itis... and that i admire Patriot followers who're clueless.... Jaylay, do no longer you recognize you adult men picked up Fred Taylor?? and additionally you will possibly shop the worst TE on your branch? Fasano and Keller are two times as good as Watson. And sorry to assert that my fellow 49er fan, Kyle is dilusional. you will possibly shop Hill, who will possibly no longer even initiate? If he would not initiate for the 9ers this year, he would be out of the league next year. he's somewhat a third string QB... My $.02... QB - Hill - supply me Warner. RB - Gore - ultimate RB in the branch. i would not hate Jackson nonetheless. WR - Crabtree/Morgan - i would not mortage the destiny. For this season i might take TJ, yet no longer for the long haul. TE - VD has beast ability, yet Carlson is a sturdy TE good now. Sorry VD, i might take Carlson.
