Not a cent for over 20 years, including mortgage. That was the only debt I have owed in the last 40 years.

Anyone carrying debt other than a mortgage or a student loan is a fool paying someone else for having spent money they did not have!

NOT including mortgage

about 40k.. but 36k of that is equity release on the same terms as my mortgage.. which means it probably counts as mortgage...

so 4k.

Not a single penny, seriously. I have been bitten by too much credit in the past, and I refuse to live like that again.

I spend only what I have, and if there's something we really want, we save.

I think the average per person owes is $5,000 in credit cards.
Some people feel that $5,000 is nothing according to their income.
