For the best stuff, you need to go back to MY Indie era.... early nineties... Indie at it's prime, definitely.
Oasis, The Verve, The Bluetones, Sixty Foot Dolls... loads of fantastic stuff!

Coldplay are like my favourite ever. The older stuff like Yellow and Spies are my favourites. But one of the best indie tunes ever has to be Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. It still sounds good today and it quite a few years old now... I love that tune!

The Jesus and Mary Chain - Just Like Honey

Although i must be honest the definition of the term indie confuses me....im south african by birth....down there it was either crap or rock ... we didnt have too many boxes ;)
If The Cure fits into the indie mold then i would go for Dinsintergration by The Cure

No-one can beat Ian Curtis and Joy Division. My personal favourite is 'Shadowplay' (1978/9) or 'Digital'.
