i read the instrustion book, but everytime i try it'll say sumthing about vcr, im confused.

1. Press Cable button on top to make sure you are sending commands for your cable box. It sounds like you are trying to control your TV or another video device.
2. To record any program, you can be in TV Guide or on a particular program and hit the record button on the bottom of the remote.
3. To access your programming, press the "My DVR" button on your remote. This will access your scheduled recordings and recorded programming.

not seeing your remote I am thinking you have the wrong channel on. I do not mean like channel on a TV but for my VCR one of my boxes has to be channel 2.0 I think the DVR is channel 1.50
( or the other way around) It is on my volumm control and for me it is separate from my cable remote control
Opps also hit the top of your remote that says Cable. to make sure you are working the cable box and not the VRC or (AUX) button.
