after anesthesia?

hi, my brother just recently had surgery and he was put under anesthesia, i understand that the throat area gets sore after the surgery. are there any remedies to make it more soothing? thank you.

Ice cream, jello, anything chilled will help a little. This was caused by the endotracheal tube that was place in his airway during the procedure. It can sometimes scratch the back of the throat causing a sore throat for a day or so. Hope he's back to normal now ~~

drink cold things, or suck on ice. or yes he can eat ice cream but his sore throat should go away after a couple days if not sooner. and yes the sore throat is from the tube they put there to keep you breathing while your out. its not from the anesthesia.

i dont think anesthesia has anything to do with it....
before i had surgery they warned me that when i woke up i'd have a sore throat because of this tube they put down your throat to keep you breathing. Ginger Ale helps; so does anything else that is fizzy.

It's not the anesthesia it's the tub that goes down your throat so you can breath !!!
When I had surgery they said my throat will hurt when I wake up!!
The best thing is ice cream and Clear Fizzy stuph like sprite ect.

I had surgery 8 weeks ago and i used ricola they really work pick them up from wal-mart
