Don't say Buid-a bear, because I want to make one BY HAND, and stuffing a bear isn't making it by hand.

http://www.simplicity.com and mccalls patterns both have stuffed animal patterns and other soft toys. If that doesn't do it for you, there are patterns stamped on fabric (cotton blends) at JoAnns fabric and others with the bear already to cut sew and stuff. They look more victorian, though. For fuzzy bear patterns, I'd go to simplicity.

all of the major companies like Simplicity, Butterick, Vogue etc sell patterns for teddy bears. Sewing stores, Walmart and Hobby Lobby sell them.
