I think it is funny, I love watching civil rights groups (oxymoron) jump thru hoops over this.

Exactly, every other group has things targeted at specific things, be it music stations on the tv & radio, award shows, scholarships, unions, etc, etc, etc, and none of them generate "negative" responses EXCEPT for anything directed at caucasions only. It's always referred to as "racist" or "prejudiced", yet those directed at blacks, latinos, muslims, are perfectly acceptable. It is a simple case of reverse racism. And should not be tolerated. Racism of any kind, directed at any group is unacceptable in a free - liberated - democratic - advanced society. There's no reason whatsoever why this should generate any negative repsonses.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND POLITICAL CORRECTNESS ARE ALL HYPOCRITICAL IN THIS COUNTRY. YOU CAN BE DUMB A S A BAG OF ROCKS BUT BECAUSE OF YOUR ETHNICITY YOU GET THE JOB OVER THE MORE ELIGIBLE APPLICANT. I'm not mad about it... but the whole point of the issue is that minorities go to schools that are sub-standard, are hired at a lower rate of pay and don't get hired as much, on average...
the point of the other scholarships is to give a hand up to those that have had no help so far...
giving a scholarship to whites only is like giving the oil companies (who are making all-time record profits) a tax cut... and Republicans seem to support both issues... interesting...
giving to those who need it the least... on average...

The outrage is because we live in poltically correct society that doesn't tolerate this kind of thing. I agree with him, and disagree with Coreas. I think affirmative action and handouts of any kind hurt the people they are intended to help, by diminishing the need for hard work to succeed.

Agreed.
Either eliminate all scholarships which require some ethnicity, or allow this and all the others that will follow.
That's what equality is about. I'd rather all scholarships eliminated the "racial" aspect. But maybe this will raise that point.

I applaud this guy. I surely hope this sticks. I mean seriously, 250 bucks is nothing compared to the thousands offered to other ethnicities. It's just sad.
Anyone that thinks a white person is automaticaly going to succeed just because they are whit is an idiot,..
