I have a 20" samsung tv that I bought about 5 years ago and I was wondering if it is worth buying a 360 if you don't have hd. I've heard some people say that it actually looks bad on tvs that don't have hd because thats what the games are meant for. I also have a 36 or 38 inch tv (not sure of size) that is about 12 years old, but that does not have hd either. Can anyone tell me if it would be worth buying a 360?

Well I use a standard CRT television and I have a 360. Basically you get used to it and it's fine. I did take my 360 over to my friends house who has a plasma and I could IMMEDIATLY tell the difference. 360's are made for HD, but it's not a must have. Like I said you get used to it.

heck do you know that the awesome looking gears of war was developed specifically on standard definition tvs just because most people don't have hd yet. I ve played it on a standard and a hd and they both rock. so don't worry go ahead and get one.

ITs all good. My friend has one, and it still looks good. Not AS good, but it's still better than Xbox.
