Cleaning out the recycle bin permanently deletes files that you no longer use. While in the bin, they can be retrieved, but once the bin is emptied, they are gone.

What good does it do? It opens up space on your hard drive, eliminating the computer's need to "carry" the files. If you have a lot in it, your computer will actually run faster and more efficiently.

No.

When you delete a file, folder, etc... Windows doesn't completely delete it at first... it's a safeguard in case it was an accident, or you might want to have it back later on. It makes an alteration to the file name, and "stores" it in the recycle bin. If you delete something and it's still in the recycle bin, you can restore it and it is relocated back where you deleted it from.

When you empty the recycle bin, all the files and folders in the bin are deleted for good. It doesn't harm your PC at all, but anything in the bin at the time can't be recovered, so be sure there is nothing in the bin you might want back later on.

When you delete some things they go to the recycle bin you should empty it regularly but if you don't you can bring deleted items back if you know how .Emptying the bin saves space on your pc but you have to be aware that a qualified IT person can still retrieve what you emptied that is how police catch pedophiles and fraudsters because it is in the history which you cant access but they or a good IT technician can.

No, it will not harm your computer. It just cleans up those files and makes scanning for viruses and stuff quicker. Plus is gives back the memory that those unwanted files use up. It's quite good for your computer. Kinda like emptying a real recycle bin.

when you delete things from your computer (which are usually things you no longer want or need on the computer) the recycle bin is where they are deleted to
and it's safe to delete / empty the recycle bin
keeping stuff in there only uses up space

unless - you've accidentally deleted something - then there is where you will usually find it
if that's the case - all you need to do is open the recycle bin and right click on the item - then click "restore" - this will send it back to the folder (or directory) it was deleted from
