Germany- I went for an environmental studies seminar in south west Germany- near Stutgart and Frieburg. We were talking to a forester and he told us that if a tree falls on his land and causes someone death or injury, HE is responible. There was a guy being charged for murder because he did not see a rotting tree and it fell onto a car and killed a man. Just the fact that natural resource protection is taking so seriosuly overthere is amazing.

I was born in Europe.. so that was pretty "life changing".
