How did gay guys end up so shallow? Women are with fat guys all the time, they even make TV shows around it. It seems that a majority of gay guys don't have very good morals.

its because there are a lot of gay guys out there that want their boyfriends to look like Abercrombie & Fitch models...those are the jerks that move from guy to guy...which is sad...
...I have a crush on this guy and he's a bit overweight and I dont care...b/c his personality is awesome!

You have two different things going on in your question....gays are shallow and gays don't have very good morals???? Consider that many gay men go to the gym with tremendous regularity, work out very hard, and have very good bodies. This has nothing to do with their morals. Perhaps what you what is that they come on to you after they have spent all this time working out, yet you do not? Men tend to try to attract what they want in another man, and if they want built men, they are willing to work to become what is desirable to the general built man...muscular or built! Why are you so shallow as to think that just because some gays do not find you sexually interesting, they are shallow???? Ask those same women what they want in a man, and NONE of them are going to tell you fat. They may have fat husbands, but trust that the man they married usually wasn't. ... he quit putting time into his appearance after he landed the girl. Sad, but true. We cannot help what turns us on and turns us off...IF you are turning off what you are attracted to, wouldn't it be easier to start working out and become what you would like to be? Just curious, would you give the time of day to another fat guy? Because there is no shortage of fat people. And are you as forgiving regarding looks and body shape towards others, as you expect them to be to you?
Furthermore, assuming what you say is true, regarding gay men not being attracted to people who are fat, then I would say they are very much like heterosexual men. This would mean it's not a gay issue at all, but a gender related issue.

Funny, I don't find Gay guys to be any more shallow than heterosexuals. I don't see where having a preference on body type is lacking in morals either.

I don't think that's true for all men. However, if you're obese why aren't you looking for another obese man??? If not, then you're looking for a thin guy and that's just as shallow as you accuse others of being.
People are allowed to choose those they're sexually attracted to. Not everyone is attracted to large men, but everyone seems to be attracted to lean, musclely guys. That's a supply and demand problem right there.

Oh yea. One more thing. How is that any different from heterosexual men?? Men are men no matter what orientation they are.

As a gay man I can honestly say that most gay men are SHALLOW! But there are some out there that are real and down to earth, you just will very rarely find them out in the bars.It seems that the many are condemned by the few

I'm perfectly willing to be friendly with overweight guys. However, I have zero sexual interest in them, and that hardly makes me shallow. I'm wired to like slender, in-shape bodies, and I watch my diet and work my butt off in the gym to have that kind of a body. I understand that some people have medical issues that make being fat an unescapable reality, but for a lot of people, it's simply a matter of poor diet and insufficient exercise. IMO, not caring enough to eat a healthy diet and exercise reflects a basic lack of self-respect.

I think some gay guys (I guess it would be a lot of the very HOT ones) don't like a lot of things about other gay guys not just the fat issue! They don't like old guys, they don't like gurly guys, they don't like ugly guys, they don't like geeky guys, they don't like hairy guys, they don't like small guys and the list goes on and on! I think that really HOT str8 guys can be the same way with women tho, they don't like fat women, they don't like ugly women, they don't like flat chested women so on and so forth. It's nothing to do with morals. Usually, a gay man in good shape is looking for someone similar, as physical relationships are important. There are plenty of gay fat men and I am sure they like other fat men.

so interesting, i do believe that the gay (male) culture is more discriminatory based on looks than the hetero culture.
it's very sad. but it is probably because the relationships have
been forced by society to be clandestine and long-term stable
situations have been discouraged. i think this will get better as more folks come out and visibility and acceptabilitly are enhanced.
