Hello:

Here's a suggestion, go to a tree lot and find a tree that isn't perfect. My family always used to buy two trees, a really nice one and then a small dingy one that probably no one else would buy. We would put the small one in the basement and my sister and I would decorate it. And honestly once it had all of the Christmas decorations on it, you could barely tell that it wasn't the perfect tree. Plus those ones are always cheaper.

Another suggestion would be to find a tree that looks great on one side, but the other side is damaged or lacking in growth. Then keep your tree in a corner and have the great side facing outward, and the not-so-great side facing towards the wall. Once it's decorated no one will ever know that the tree isn't perfectly grown because it will look beautiful. This way it will also be cheaper.

Obviously these options only work if you are looking for a live tree. I do know that stores like the Salvation Army or TJ Maxx (discount stores) sell plastic trees, and at a discounted price.

I hope this helps and good luck.

If you live in or near a city that has a Garden Ridge home decor store in it go there! Saturday before Thanksgiving I got a tree for 28.00 on sale rather than the regular 37.00 and the decorations for the holiday were on sale to!
