Murder is an act of killing done because the person wants to do it, out of hate, anger, passion etc. Abortion is a sad, difficult and hard decision to make. I do not know of one woman who wanted to or enjoyed the thought of having an abortion. I don't necessarily agree with abortion, but I have not been in the shoes of someone who has had to make that choice, therefore I cannot condemn them. I do not think it is murder. I do think there should be a timeframe in which to have an abortion, such as 1 month and I think a woman needs to weigh all the options and determine how and if it will affect her life later on.

This is a question, unfortunately, of semantics, not morality.
Ultimately, "murder" is usually defined as the deliberate killing
of a human being - so the semantics begs the issue - is a fetus
a "human being".
Genetically? Yes. Functionally? No. Mentally, philosophically,
socially? No.
And then there are these people who bring "soul" into the
question - and then blythely assume that "soul" has an
obvious definition.
How about a fetus that has no brain?
You're not going to get the bright line that both lawyers and
philosophers love.
When you ask people to define this semantic question, you
are ultimately asking them (at least these days) if you believe
that killing a fetus should be legal.
If you want to ask that, why don't you ask that?

Well it s a controversial question, but technical, it isn't, by law. It is a constitutional right by the women, so it is a kind of yes and no question, and it depends on the person to, it can be murder, or it can be the right of a women.

YES!!!!!!
What makes each person an individual is their DNA. At conception, that BABY has different DNA than the mother's. Different DNA = different person. Not how long they have been in exsistance. If you accept the theory that It is just a part of the woman's body , than no woman should ever be prosecuted for killing her own child. You take resposibility for the possibility of pregnancy as soon as you decide to become sexually active. People should be adult enough to deal with the outcome of their actions. Anyone who says it is okay to murder a "fetus" is looking for an excuse to be irresponsible. And don't give me that nonsense about rape or incest or the mother's life in danger because those account for less than 3% of all abortions.

YES!!! When you kill anything it's called murder. Some think of other words to call it like hunting, abortion, fishing and bug termenation. No mayyer how you put it. It will always be murder. I have a 5 year old little girl and in my heart can't think of harming her in any way. An abortion would have ended her life before I had a chance to find out how awsome parenting is.

its a tough question, myself i have had two, please dont judge me for saying that, im not a bad person and have two beautiful boys. the procedure is a big thing to think about and it happens everyday, if you think of it as murder you will never forgive yourself you had to go through it, instead think of it as something never meant to be. murder is such a big thing to say to something not formed yet. i dont condole abortions but sometimes they are for the best if the circumstances are not appropriate for a child to be brought in to this world

No, not the popular definition of murder. Anyone whos says killing anything is murder. Guess what you just murdered a couple of your cells, and millions of bacteria cells, etc, etc. If it is not alive or is extremely small and unable to think it is not murder. Anything that can think, thats murder.

It's evil and satanic but not considered murder. In order for it to be murder, a society must recognize that it is wrong and take steps to stop it and punish those who do it, severely. Ours does not. That makes our society immoral and unjust. This is a situation where bad people don't know that they are bad people because they have lost the ability to tell right from wrong. Further, they reject attempts to help them see right from wrong. They are interested in not being judged rather than not being evil. And they are incredibly evil. By the time a person reaches the point where abortion is OK, they are capable of a great deal. They have fallen very far and don't know it (or do know it but don't want other people knowing it). In large numbers and/or without strong constraints, these people make life a living hell....a literal hell, for these people are actually possessed in a very real sense by evil. There is no humanity in them. And something else moves right in and takes over.

it depends what trimester you are in when you have an abortion. during the last trimester some states will try you for murder. Please just have the baby and if you cant afford it, or dont want it give it to an adoption agency. Plenty of people want babies who cant have them.
