If you get to it fast enough, yes. Take the battery out and dry it completely off. Get a a 95% proof alcohol (not rubbing alcohol) and immerse the phone in it, then remove the phone. The alcohol will attract the remaining water and drain out with the alcohol. Any remaining alcohol will then evaporate.
If you've already dropped the phone in water, you're pretty much doomed, and you might as well get a new phone.

If it was just dropped in water, then the best thing to do is to make sure it is turned off, and leave it turned off for a couple of days in a warm dry place. It should just dry out and work as good as new. If it is dropped in something sweet, that could cause problems. either way, try it and see.

if u turned the cell on after u dropped it then no because having it on will fry it.....i got a sprint phone two months ago two days later dropped in toilet and turned it on and found out the hard way i let it dry for about 3 days then it worked but everytime i was talking on it ...it got really hot and i had to get off it....so look underneath the battery and see if there is a white sticker anywhere that looks like a DOT if it isnt white anymore and it changed colors then that means u cant take it back either because their tech. will see that its ruined

nah, that's a negative. i've been in the wireless industry for 6 years and see customers come in on a daily basis with minor to heavy liquid damage and 9 out of 10 times, the phone will not function properly. SOMETIMES, the phone might turn on, but certain things will not work like the screen might be damaged, the mic/earpiece will be damaged. i hardly ever see the phone in 100% working condition after it's been dropped in water.
also, alot of people will come in saying that they used a hair dryer to dry it, OR, they let the phone air-dry for a couple days and it might work spuratically, but eventually, in the very near future, it'll go bad and they end up purchasing a new phone.

Yes you can and your lucky that I just watched this TV show on that exact subject. Take off the cover, don't put a Kleenex or anything like that on it. To absorbed the water, lay it open on a towel, using your Hair Blower on low and away from the cell, dry it.If it wasn't in the water long, it will be OK. Good Luck

sometimes it works. first of all, take off the battery (very important). if you can take it apart as much as you can and gently rub it with a dry soft towel, after that you can use a soft toothbrush (or anything similar) and clean it with alcohol. leave it to dry for a day or two. then put it back together and if yor're lucky it will work.
i've done this often and it has worked, but some phones just get too messed up and there's no way to fix them.

Only nature can fix it...Let it dry for a few days and do not try to switch it on because you will cause a short-circuit and you will fry the electronics inside. Best of luck!
