As a mom of three I have to tell you that it infurates me. What you can't stay away from something for 9 months and if you are an alcoholic you have no business becoming pregnant when you know you have a drinking problem. This poor baby did not ask to be brought into this world already broken. This poor baby never got a say in what their life was going to be like b/c mom already made that choice when she put that bottle to her lips. It is selfish and irresponsible!! Children today have enough complications as it is let alone add one from birth that they had no control over, they are born waiting to become alcholics themselves and unless someone loves them enough to show them differently then we have yet again as a society failed. Sounds corny but the children are our future......

Pregnant women should not drink alcohol,it does affect the fetus:brain damage for one,the infant will be born with health problems from the start depnding on how much the mother drank.
Even the alcohol beverage industry has come out against pregnant women drinking.
A doctor may recommend some red wine with meals(for medicinal purposes only) in some situations, but these are generally safe levels and won't affect the baby adversly.
You kill brain cells with every drink of alcohol you take, but you don't miss them since they get replaced with new cells after you quit drinking. Unless you drink so much your body can't detox itself.
Check out WebMD or the beverage industries websites for more info.

Absolutely disgusts me.If they truly cared for their unborn child they wouldn't drink or smoke.
I stopped drinking and smoking when i was pregnant.
I watched a video once of the affects on the unborn baby and that baby was clearly in distress. So sad but it happens all the time and it will never stop women from drinking or smoking while pregnant.

Anything that enters your blood stream can have an effect on an unborn baby as they use the mothers blood supply, so I guess its best to avoid things like alcohol sigs etc.

I think its really irresponsible...that and pregnant women that smoke during pregnancy...they are hurting the baby...its ridiculous...they assume their child will come out normal...but they dont know that until 9 months is over and its time to deliver...complications CAN occur
