If you believe in God then all you have to do is get you some Holy water, and some blessed oil and start to cleanse you house from evil spirits. they do exist and these are called familiar spirits. they come in the form of people, some we remember and some we don't. never the less these are spirits, and they can be cast out even by you ,unless this is a king demon then you may need a little help from an anointed pastor or priest. but anoint your self as well as any one in the house with you, open your bibles in the house and make sure you pray. demand the the spirit leave your house always in the name of Jesus. a spirit can not stand it when you speak the name of Jesus. Hope that I could help.this will be a sure way to find out if you have a ghost or spirit. be blessed.

just because someone died in your house does not mean it is haunted. if it is you will know. you may hear things, doors open or close. a certain smell, coffee, perfume. tobacco, or something just standing there watching you. pray for the spirit.

If you have the bad dreams almost every night, see things moving by itself, and smell some kinds of scents, your home is haunted.

Check when your house was built and go by what was there before it was built.

Do battery powered devices drain very quickly?
Do you feel cold spots in specific places?
If you feel a presence just speak aloud and say you only want to live there peacefully. Most ghosts are passive ;-)

go to the court house where the house is located and look up the names and deeds of the people who owned the house. You can also look up those people in death records who's address is the same as the house. I think this is all public record.

Most older homes has at sometime had someone die in them. They also had someone born in them. If you think you have a ghost in your house just tell them"to go to the light". (Iheard that on TV.
