you know that movie with Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover ....with the slavey, flashbacks and whatnot.....yeah...that was a disturbing movie wasnt it?

I liked the movie a lot. I just saw The Color Purple and found that sad, too. Oprah picks some f'ed movies, huh? I plan on reading both books, as I heard they were really good.

I saw the movie, didn't understand it until AFTER I had read the review. I thought it was too choppy to follow. Now the COLOR PURPLE, that's a movie! I watch it at home at least once a month in its entirety and still do not understand why no actor in the film won an Oscar. But I do understand that you don't need critics/peers to tell you you did good --- that's what moviegoers and ticket/DVD sales are for!

I have never seen it,but I heard it got bad reviews.I did like The Color Purple.
