You should specify which model router you have, and what type of computer and operation system software - laptop or desktop, Windows version or Mac OS.

Also mention what setup you were using to connect when it used to work on wireless.

A telephone modem and Ethernet LAN connection would not generally be a wireless capable device in your computer. It could be that the icon controlling your WIFI hardware is clicked to the OFF position. Check each item in the lower right screen system tray using right-click of the mouse.

I know this may sound funny, but here goes: Is your wireless card turned on? If you're using a Dell laptop, there is a way to turn of your wireless card to save battery when you're not surfing. The key combination is "Fn" + "F2". You should also have an indicator light that says "WiFi", usually near your other lights such as Caps Lock, Num Lock, etc. If this isn't it, then make sure you have the software side of things enabled. Do this by: clicking on "Start", then "Connect to", then "Show all Connections", this will bring up your Network Connections dialog box. Right click in Wireless Connection and make sure "Enabled" is selected.

Good Luck!

Hello,

The problem you are describing seems to me as if, you may have the incorrect wireless card and perhaps the router can not connect. I suggest uninstalling the software and re-installing, and re connecting. If the problem persists you may have to take router back and swap for another?

If this is the case i suggest the D-Link 54gbp wirelss kit with USB this is very good as i have it and have experienced no problems.

Hope This Helps
