I was offered a job with a company that does government contracts and they are sponsoring my clearance. I am going a little crazy with the whole waiting process......help!!

Nothing you can do really except to take your mind off of it.
What I would do is while your waiting on that process start to line up back up options just in case your security clearence doesnt' come through.
Read some books, get a new skill, take up a hobby. You know more than anyone about your history. If there is somthing back there that you know may interfere with security clearence then you may want to look for a real ulternative.

There's no way to speed up the process. Final clearances can take up to 2 years depending upon the clearance level. An initial clearance can take several months especially if the company's security manager does not stay on top of things.
