I say Ronald Reagan! You opinion? I no there was the Iran Contra affair, but other than that, I think he did a great job! I mean with the cold war and the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Yeah it is true that Lincoln was a good president! I change my mind and say Lincoln. But; Reagan was the best of this generation hands down!

Reagan. He gave America back it's pride. Had another weak president followed Carter, Ford, and Nixon this country would be much less than it is.

Reagan was the Teflon president-nothing stuck to him, including the Iran Conta scandal or the Savings & Loan scandal-which was a result of his banking deregulation policies-or the trickle-down economics that benefited the wealthy most. Ridiculed by George H.W. Bush as "voodoo," and others as "trickle-down," and "Reaganomics," he managed to push across-the-board tax cuts in 1981, although in 1982 and 1983 he signed tax increases. The tax cuts of course led to huge budget deficits(thus his later tax increases). Let's not forget the support of Afghani Jihadists and his support of Saddam Hussein. Hence the joke "we know Saddam has weapons of mass destruction-we have the receipts!".

Sadly, Reagan may have been in the early stages of Alzheimers during the latter years of his presidency. During the final years of his presidency, in the mid to late 1980s, Ronald Reagan revealed bouts of forgetfulness during public engagements. It was not until 1994 however that doctor’s agreed a final diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. In fact Alzheimer’s cannot truly be confirmed until autopsy.
