Yes. I should know, I still have a bit of fear in me. It's hard to cope with, even as you get older. The worst thing you could do is watch movies that worsen the fear. Yes, it includes outside, and some people have different types of fear: some people just don't like it, some people are traumatized by an experience, and then yo have the nuts who watch every horror movie, and wonder why they can't sleep. :)

I used to be afraid the dark, loud noises, water, and I'm not sure what else. Without even becoming familiar with psychology, I realized that they were created because of what people did, specifically my siblings and my father. I used to get panic attacks when my mother tried to wash my hair, and it was impossible for me to take a shower. Now fear doesn't even come to mind. I think, for me, it was being controlled and betrayed too much by others that led to my fears. This included violence I suffered at the hands of my father and my siblings. I realized what my real fears were and their causes, and that was the beginning of my recovery.

Yes usually it does. It's the fear of the unknown you don't know what could happen to you. My brother has this. He is 12. If he has my 3 year old nephew with him he's okay though. The whole dark phobia thing is weird.

Wow, that's really cool. Im seriously impressed, i loved the format of the poem, the almost subcategories of fear, regret etc. It had a regular rhyming pattern which is always good. But most importantly it made me think, and had such passion and soul.

For me it was not so bad as in the house. I sure was glad when it just left me!
