Are all these charities helping sponsoring children in Africa really helping or do they just make the people doing the sponsoring feel good?

It makes a huge difference! Not only does the child benefit financially, but also emotionally because they know that someone out there cares about them. You can really develop a good friendship with your child if you write to them. My sponsored child once wrote that my help has been such a blessing to her because it makes her feel like she is someone in this world. Any other questions, concerns, please feel free to email.

Yes I think they are because u can see the mess that some of these poor children are in and the health prblems they have. We are very lucky at what we have in the UK and I think more money should be spent on helping deprived people who can't help there conditions rather than on addicts and criminals.

You really would be helping a child to have a better life, and feel good about it at the same time

if that "sponsor" is american looking to notice a difference they would probably see a bigger difference in taking care of the "child in need" in the states, but if one isnt looking to see a difference then probably not.
