I have often wondered this and I think it's because he never puts himself at risk (did not go to Vietnam until 40 years later)
but mostly I think the rest of the world is happy he is a complete buffoon and wants to keep him alive.
Osama bin Laden said he was happy Bush was re-elected - what does that tell you?!

Because in this country, we do not kill our Presidents, we elect different ones.
The only people who have killed presidents here, or tried, have been quickly disposed of.
Hinckley is still alive, and maybe you should speak with him about this.

Because he has severe shortage of honesty, truth, self-respect, and pride. If he had any of these, he would have admitted long back that he made the blunder of his life in invading Iraq and would have apologized to the whole world (not just US, because his war has affected the whole world) and committed suicide.
