There is software available called Rosetta Stone to learn any language. It is quite expensive, but they guarantee it to work.

Do a Yahoo search for Rosetta Stone Spanish software.

We are on the same side
I too had to learn Spanish for professional reasons

Why don't you try Rocket Spanish
It is sort of an audio commentary
Teaches you how to pronounce certain words
It doesn't cost much too

Here is the link http://sanjay0828.rspanish.hop.clickbank.net

I think I can speak 'OK' spanish now

buena suerte

I'm half Spanish...the best way is to go to a Spanish speaking country for a month and you ll see how you catch on...otherwise there are a few good websites:

or just go into a search engine and type free Spanish lessons in or in Spanish clases de español gratuitas en la red.

good luck! i find spanish an interesting language....come visit me in madrid when you've learnt.

I am bilingual and I suggest that you take a class in a community college. Then try and talk to native Spanish speakers. THat is the MOST important, do not be embarrassed, just try! Also listen really well to how they pronounce things, books and tapes may not pronounce things correctly. Go to restaurants, go to festivals...whatever it takes to speak to natives. Good Luck and dont get discouraged, it can take 10 years!

Book will not help you. Try to go to your local library and borrow some spanish fiction or nonfiction audiobooks. They're free. You can't get good deals like that. Good luck.

You can try the Pimsleur program or the Rosetta Stone program. However, be prepared for a sticker shock. Pimsleur really works and there is a 10 lesson program that is sold on www.amazon.com for $15.99.
