The Montreal Canadians are the most dominant team overall in NHL history. The Red Wings have been the stronger the last 15 or so years however.

the percentages are not getting greater appropriate of being the ideal group ever with fewer communities. in case you have been the ideal group ever you may win greater advantageous than a million in a row. perhaps if the Wings can string at the same time 3 in a row we'd evaluate them in an analogous sentence because of the fact the '60's Leafs, the '70's Canadiens, the'80's Islanders or Oilers. appropriate communities dominate. pink Wings have not performed that yet.

I'd say Montreal has historically had a better team, they've won more cups, they've been more consistent, and some of the best players ever have gone through that organization. (Granted, Detroit has been home to Yzerman, Howe, Shanahan, Chelios and more, but more Montreal players are in the Hall of Fame than Detroit players) But you'd be hard pressed to find many teams other than Detroit who can rival Montreal for top spot all time.

Um...let's see. Canadiens are most successful NHL team. Yankees in MLB. One could argue the Cowboys or 49ers in football. Basketball, well, I guess the Lakers or Bulls.
Just what league does Deetroit play in to garner such comparisons?
