The Congo River flows through the rain forests of the Central African countries fo the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. At 2,900 miles, the Congo River is Africa's second-longest river. It is fed by hundreds of tributaries. Many farmers in this region grow yams and cassava, a starchy plant that is a bit like a potato. They also catch many different types of fish in the Congo River.
