GameCube games can be played on the Wii, but there are many differences between them. The Wii can go on the Internet 24/7 an buy classic games to play on it. Also the Wii is motion simulation, another thing the GameCube doesn't have. Over all, the graphics on the Wii are much, much better. If you want to keep your GameCube, you're only going to be able to play the games you already have. The GameCube is going to be coming with 2 or 3 new games, thats it, and you can't play Wii games on your GameCube, because the disks for the Wii are twice the size of the GameCube's and the GameCube's hard drive cannot support all of the Wii's new improvements. I was a big GameCube fan, but now since I got the Wii, kiss the GameCube goodbye. And another think, the GameCube is now OUTDATED, and the Wii is simplily better. If you had a decision to make, weither you keep your GameCube or get a new Wii, if I were you, I'd get the Wii.

You can absolutely play GC Games on the Wii... You will use the GC controller you already have and plug it in to the Wii. The Wii remote won't work with CG games.
