I'm unsure what is going on with my rabbits eye. This morning I woke up and saw that she had it closed. At times she would open it. My guess is she scratched it with her nail or something. It looks a bit pinkish. I tried wiping it with a warm cloth but it didn't help.

Does anyone think they know what happened or what I can do?

She isn't sleeping. I let her run around and she's been cleaning herself. I have to wait 3 hours for the stupid vet to let me in.

Any time your bunny's eyes change in appearance or seem painful, a visit to your vet is important to clear up any of these conditions or to determine if something else is going on.

Your rabbit probably has pink eye otherwise known as conjunctivitis. It is possible the rabbit scratched the eye also. In either event you need to take the rabbit to the vet to get the appropriate medicine for whichever condition it is.

Note, that if it is pink eye it is highly contagious to humans and other animals. So make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after bathing the rabbits eye. With the right medication it is easily curable. Good luck to you and your bunny!

you better take her to the vet, i think rabbit's eyes are pretty sensitive and easily damaged. My rabbit had an eye infection before too and the vet prescribed eye drops for him
