I had the SAME issue. Promise your mom and dad that you won't give out ANY personal information, such as your phone #, your school, or your address, and tell them that YOU IM the people FIRST, so there isn't really a safety issue, unless you tell them personal info. You will probably only want to IM friends, so again, there isn't a safety issue. If your parents STILL say no, you should listen to them because they know best. Ask them why they don't want you to have it. If they say something like "you are too young", say that you ONLY want to IM your FRIENDS so if you are worried about safety, there is NO safety issue. I hope that you are allowed to get IM. My screenname is PinkCookie718, if you ever get AOL Instant Messenger a.k.a. "AIM"
I also hope that you choose my answer for best answer because I wrote alot, and, well, it is a good answer. Good luck!

Ask them to take a babysitting path for while they pick to make it easier to. as quickly as you have taken the path in basic terms try watching youthful siblings or cousins. Then with a bit of luck your mom and dad will see which you're to blame adequate:)!!

You are obviously here asking that so just download icq or yahoo messenger...what's the biggie? Just don't keep a shortcut on the desktop...they probably wouldn't notice.

I don't know how old you are. I finally let my daughter have it.

Of course she is 36. But I warned her

TALKING TO STRANGERS CAN BE A DANGEROUS THING.

Happy Holidays.
