It seems that you can only establish a link to the top of an article. But what if you want to link to a specific section lower down in an article? Using the full URL doesn't seem right, and using # in the link like you would in HTML links doesn't seem to work.

To link to a section within a topic, use [[#section]].

For example, if I editing this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgrade
And I wanted to link to the "history" section, I would just put [[#History]]. If I was editing a different page and wanted to link to the Belgrade page and the history section, I would use [[Belgrade#History]].

Using # is the standard on WP, too. But if the heading you want to link to has more than one word, use underscores instead of spaces. The link below is an example, *and* it has more info.
