I can understand being reported for vile language...let's be real, if you can't say it without crude words, don't say it at all. But we are talking about politics, not baby powder. If you disagree, either say you disagree, or go on to the next question....

Put me on your list of people, I was deleted a month ago, and I am sure it was done by clones and trolls that did not like the fact that I had reached level 7 and had 50,000 points. It took 3 weeks to get my account restored and it was all over the fact that I am a liberal and they disagreed with me. There is a blog in answers that was set up to address this problem and Yahoo does know that this is a problem. From what I read it is not just this category they are having the same problem in the religion section also. Last count they had over 300 postings on this subject.

There is a difference between reprorting and giving someone a thumbs-down. I don't think those count for much. I only report if someone is being crude...like a guy in the parenting catagory today talking about getting his sister pregnant.

Yes, I agree totally. I've only been 'shut-down' once - in response to a straight-forward comment comparing Islamic practices with those of Christianity. I used no profane language, just made my views known and pointed to widespread and well-documented evidence.
Bingo...! - my question was pulled and I received a rap over the knuckles... with no realistic opportunity to protest - except to the verbal equivolent of a 'brick-wall'...!!!

Not only all the reporting, but whoever is at Yahoo making judgements about who should be penalized, needs a dose of reality.

I hate the hot score equipment yet i think that retains with the theory of "you could no longer tell a guy or woman they're stupid or incorrect because of the fact it may desire to wreck their self-nicely worth" style of element. So...the racists and bigots are loose to assert what they like and we've not have been given any thank you to disagree with them. This place became a cesspool of hate till now and now will grow to be so. to boot, in some places the TD or disagree may be wonderful because of the fact if a guy or woman asks a genuine question "how did WW1 initiate" working example and somebody solutions "hitler began invading everywhere" then we can not td to instruct the asker that "hitler began invading" became incorrect. we are technically no longer think to call out yet another person and say "Joe is misguided whilst he mentioned it became hitler" so a guy or woman somewhat asking a question heavily isn't particular what the real answer is. i think of this may be a issue incredibly in the mathematics and technology sections the place real solutions be counted. on the different hand, no longer having the flexibility to "disagree" with somebody in the pollpart "what's your prominent cookie" and somebody says "snickerdoodle" (which gets 5 thumbs down from people who look to in comparison to you) may be good. i admire the belief of having the flexibility to cost them informative (some human beings flow out of their thank you to grant somewhat diverse counsel) yet I wish we could even have one that say "infuriating" or "disagree" or "no longer exciting". good now, your answer gets strengthened or handed over. are you able to think of a genuine lecture room working like this? "Johnny what's two+2?" "5!" (instructor ignores it and strikes onto next question). Yeah....this is a thank you to evaluation and jointly as seventy 5% of YA is rather trivial rubbish, some are real questions from human beings searching for real solutions. each and every thing from "a thank you to get rid of ear wax" to "how became penicillin more advantageous" to "Why do no longer xtians have a jesus on the bypass yet catholics do?" could all be asked as real questions and human beings somewhat curious and desirous to hearken to human beings's solutions and if somebody solutions incorrect we can not point out that. It style of makes this a extra useful haven for the trolls and not a good place for human beings somewhat searching for solutions.

I don't think I've ever been reported and have been pretty opinionated. I have reported people though for using racial epithets. Swearing doesn't really offend me and can be funny if used right.
