I'm trying to follow the instructions on the CD, but I have encountered a message: No NTLDR press any key to restart. I am using a WIN 98 to startup. Any help?

Generically, Windows ME is a bad operating system in the first place. Ive never heard anything good about it anyway. Microsoft removed ME and tried to push on Windows 98 again. Just try to buy Windows 2000/NT or Windows XP

Just stick with the windows 98 if you dont want to

what i did is format the new hard drive using a utility disk you can find on the manufactures website to format your type of hard drive, partition the one hard drive you have into to seperate hard drives (1 for the operating system, and another for everything else.) this is done by the program all you have to do is select it from what i know. make sure the hard drive jumper setting is set to master. (all of this take a long time depending on the size of the hard drive) After installing ME on the side of the hard drive you want it, buy the Windows XP upgrade (its cheaper to upgrade than buy the OS outright). after this you should be set

that means your missing a boot sector...you need to reformat and fraction the hard drive. use the 98 start disc, delete everything and start it as a raw disc.
