as much as i love the Colts, i think im gonna say the Chargers are a better team in scoring, thats for sure...but also in the running ame has struggled since the loss of edgerrin james, their defense isnt as dominant as it was last year...the charers are just one game behind the colts in the afc, and to me, at this point theyre better in these three categories...what do u think?

You're right about the Chargers being better in scoring. The Chargers are first in the league scoring 33.6 ppg, Indy scores 26.3ppg. And I think it's obvious that the Chargers have the better running game, it would be hard not to with L.T. in the backfield. On defense, the Chargers have been severely banged up since the Pittsburgh game and are just now starting to get a few players back, someone mentioned the KC loss, well, the Chargers had 5 starters out for that game and only lost by a last minute field goal at arrowhead. I think when the Chargers get Merriman and Castillo back, and Phillips gets healthy they are going to be unstoppable in the playoffs. This should be the year Marty gets his superbowl win.
Ahhhh... Don J my football nemesis. I don't like Marty any more than you do, trust me on that. But as long as they keep him away from the offense (Cam Cameron has taken over), the Chargers have a legit shot. And don't forget, Peyton hasn't done anything in the playoffs either. So, we'll see what happens. (The Chargers are still the better of the two teams.)

I would have to say the chargers are the better team. The chargers can actually win by more then a touchdown. The chargers have the better running game. LT has more TDs then the colts RBs combined. The chargers defense is also better. Other then the cincinatti game where they allowed 42 points (and still won) they havent allowed many points. The chargers have both a great QB and RB but the colts only have good QB.

The Chargers are a more completet team than the Colts so i think they are a better team but the Chargers are coached by Marty and come playoff time they will bow out quickly. Of course the Colts are quarterbacked by Peyton Manning so they'll probably bow out quickly too. Don't be surprised if the Pats or Broncos end up going to the Superbowl.

I would just love to find a question that I could agree with "Mr. Samurai" on (aside from TO) but this will NOT be it.
When "push comes to shove" in the NFL, i.e. playoff time, the cream rises, the sh*it sinks. QB and coach combination trump practically every other consideration on any team and always have. Dungy is just simply bad in the playoffs, Marty is a one man disaster and ALWAYS has been. The Chargers won't even get to the conference finals, it will be Colts - Ravens. Better coaches, better QBs. (no offense intended to the rookie Rivers who's having a great season, SO FAR...........)

I'm typing this in a colts hoodie lol, but I think there are 2-3 teams better than us.
1. Cowboys now that Romo is quarterback
2. Chargers
3. Bears
We lack the ability to score alot of points and our defense is giving up like 21 points a game. We will lose first round of playoff again dammit ><

The Chargers are the best team in the AFC at this point. They are playing better than the Colts and would beat them if they met. LT is unbelievable.

Chargers hes why - they have a 4 game winning streak, they are 2nd in total offense (behind colts) and have a better defense than the colts. L.T. can just run all over them any day.

Indy has no defense, San Diego is, but the Chiefs will be the best team in the NFL at the end of the season. Their offense is fericious and their defense is ranked around 10 and rising. They beat San Diego when the still had merriman a few weeks ago, besides the blip in Miami, where they fought till the end, they've one 6 of their last 7. They now have 10 days to rest and are already getting healthier, the sky really is the limit for the Chiefs.
